Ħamrun Ħanin celebrates Jum il-Ħamrun with Bjorn Formosa

On this year’s Jum il-Ħamrun, a day dedicated to celebrating the people of Ħamrun, a special visit was made to a truly remarkable individual, Bjorn Formosa. Known for his unyielding spirit and tireless advocacy for the ALS community, Bjorn’s story is one of extraordinary courage and dedication, embodying the very essence of Ħamrun Ħanin – the compassionate heart of our town.

Bjorn Formosa has become a beacon of hope and strength for many. Diagnosed with ALS, he has faced his health challenges head-on, transforming his personal battle into a larger mission to support others affected by the condition. Through his relentless efforts, he has raised awareness, funds, and established much-needed resources for ALS patients in Malta. His journey, marked by perseverance and resilience, serves as an inspiration for our NGO’s ongoing work.

Given Bjorn’s passion for goalkeeping, Henry Bonello, the Spartans’ No. 1 goalkeeper, presented us with a signed shirt that we gladly donated to him. Additionally, the rest of the 10th Star-winners autographed a ball, making it a truly special day for all at Dar Bjorn.
